“We may not be responsible for the world that created our minds, but we can take responsibility for the mind with which we create our world.” – Gabor Mate

I am a licensed mental health counselor and am committed to working with my clients on their journey as a collaborator and partner. I believe that through a professional and safe therapeutic relationship, positive change and transformation can occur, even when the challenges seem insurmountable. It is possible to work towards a whole, healthy, and meaningful life. My clients are able to create change in their lives, through an increased understanding of themselves, and exploring their potential. They can recognize how their thoughts and feelings, together with taking specific actions can help them build a more peaceful and fulfilling life. I believe small steps lead to big changes.

My own journey with personal and professional experiences has taught me that positive change is possible. I believe that persistence and hope are a catalyst for change and my clients can count on me for unconditional acceptance in this process, as they move toward their own personal growth goals.

I have lived in numerous places around the world, but South Florida has been my home for the last twenty-five years. I now live in Lake Worth with my husband, three dogs and two cockatiels. My experiences have given me an acceptance for diverse thoughts and social practices. I have an appreciation for both our differences, similarities and variety of ways people define success.

Having overcome personal challenges myself, I am inspired to share the possibilities for change, growth and transformation with my clients. This perspective helps me build connection, and that leads to meaningful exploration of challenges, struggles and aspirations. It is the foundation of therapeutic relationships.

Professionally, I am grateful for having had the privilege of serving, over many years in several capacities, as an instrument for support and change. These roles have included, being a provider of therapeutic services and a leader and advocate for mental health services, in a wide range of settings with a broad spectrum of people. It has given me a practical understanding of the challenges faced by the individuals as they seek growth. I have tremendous respect for my clients as they take on this challenge because I recognize the conscientious effort and courage it takes to pursue change.

In an effort to be as effective as possible I seek out training on a regular basis. In the past these have included training related to trauma, somatic approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT), child centered play therapy, tele-health among others.
