Psychotherapist

“The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, suffering, struggle, loss, and have found their way out of those depths.” Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
Hi there, I’m Jen. If you are here, there is probably a part of you that is tired of carrying everything on your own. Maybe you have spent so much time trying to hold it together for everyone else that you have forgotten what it feels like to truly slow down and check in with yourself. I want you to know that you do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You deserve support exactly as you are. I see therapy as a space where you can finally exhale. A space where you can be honest about the things that hurt, the things that overwhelm you, and the parts of yourself you may have learned to hide. My role is not to judge you or tell you who you should be. I want to help you better understand yourself so you can move through life feeling more confident and connected to who you truly are.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and I especially enjoy helping people heal from painful experiences, navigate difficult relationships, and reconnect with themselves after periods of self doubt or emotional exhaustion. I know how easy it can be to feel stuck in patterns that are hard to break, even when you genuinely want things to change. Therapy can be a place where those patterns are explored with compassion rather than shame.
My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence based practices. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma informed care, and attachment based perspectives into my work while recognizing that every person’s story is unique. I also have experience conducting psychological and psychoeducational assessments, which allows me to bring a deeper understanding of learning, attention, and emotional functioning into therapy.
Above all, I want therapy to feel human. I want you to feel heard, supported, and empowered as you work through life’s challenges. My hope is that our work together helps you build a stronger relationship with yourself and reminds you that healing and growth are possible, even during difficult seasons of life.

I have presented research on psychological assessments at national psychology conferences and truly enjoy blending research into the work that I do. In my personal life, I love setting yearly reading goals and I’ll always reach for a good psychological thriller. I also enjoy exploring new coffee shops around the area and trying out different workout classes. At home is my favorite time, and I spend it with my husband and orange kitty.
